GrindStar Promos, which is only just the beginning of Diggs’ marketing mission. Miss Diggs attended NC
A&T and got into promoting parties with her friends, “mostly because they were doing it” but once she
got started, she surpassed the influence and became the personal assistant of a well known DJ in the
Greensboro area, taking her promotional experience to the next level. With Diggs being born and bred
in Charlotte NC, it was also in those same streets she was alotted internships with “DTP” and her first
stepping stone working as a rep of “Def Jam Streets”.
With a degree in Family and Consumer Science and countless connections later, Diggs aspired to
have longevity in the entertainment industry and GrindStar Promo was formed. Miss Diggs relocated
to Atlanta and has since persisted, being a female CEO of her own company, and shows no signs of
digressing. The independence she shows has helped her be established, although it was troubling in the
beginning. Her success can be attributed to her tenacity, and help of experienced mentors, which she
suggests everyone has, “find a mentor male or female, find someone who is serious enough to take you
seriously, and don’t fold under pressure”.
