For the people who many not know who your are, can you give them a
brief introduction ?

Melvin “Official” Watson CEO and Founder of
Phantom Boyz Music LLC, President and Founder of JCM Music Group,
entrepreneur, impresario, producer, songwriter and visionary.

At work age did you become interested in music ?

My whole life really, my uncle was the DJ for Profile records so I
grew up around the hip hop movement, was pretty much exposed to it early on.  I
actually wanted to rap at one point but changed directions and
starting producing, songwriting and eventually starting my own
production company, Phantom Boyz Music LLC.

What is something that your parents always supported?

My boxing career, generally everything that was positive. My father always
stressed that whatever I did, I needed to be the best at it. I took
heed to his advice and never did anything less than exceptional.

So you started Phantom Boyz Music LLC in 2006 , speak on how big
that moment was for you.

Excited, overjoyed and grateful that I was able to make a living from
a natural talent that I loved to do.

What was your 1st major placement ? also how did it feel to hear it
play on the radio?

B 5′s “Hydrolics” featuring Puffy and Bow Wow. Like
I made it.

Lets talk about your current music career as an producer what were
your goals?

My goal as a producer was to produce enough records to
obtain credibility and be financially secure so that I could focus
on developing my own projects and putting it out through my own
company. I am thankful that I am at a point in my career that I can
just focus on just that, bringing out my artists, songwriters,
producers and developing and showcasing their talent. Since I entered
the industry I made it my business to make each business deal I made,
one step being equivalent to 10.

.

Can you speak on any projects you are working ?

Working on projects
with R Kelly, Trey Songz and launching my label JCM Music Group.

Lastly words of advice for me people who would like to follow in your
footsteps?

To do your research, learn about the business that you are
getting into. Learn the business end of things and never give up.
